These are the attachments i would to share with the team for resolving the verification

I'm applying for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but my application keeps getting rejected with the following message:

"Please ensure that your academic affiliation document contains your last name exactly as it appears in your GitHub billing information."

I have verified everything, but I still receive the same rejection.

Here are my details:

GitHub Username: Mithuna777
Institution: VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology
Verified institutional email: @vnrvjiet.in
Billing Information:
First Name: Mithuna
Last Name: Netapally
Student ID Name: NETAPALLY MITHUNA
Batch: 2023–2027

I have already:

Used my institutional email.
Verified the email.
Entered my billing name correctly.
Captured the student ID using my device camera as requested.

My institution prints student names in the format SURNAME GIVEN_NAME (NETAPALLY MITHUNA), which is common in India. I believe the automated verification may be interpreting the surname incorrectly.

Could someone please manually review my application?

Hi! Looking at the screenshots you shared, I don't think your billing information is the problem.

Your billing name is:

• First name: Mithuna
• Last name: Netapally

and your student ID clearly shows NETAPALLY MITHUNA, so the name itself appears to match (it's just printed in SURNAME GIVEN_NAME order, which is common in India). :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

One thing I did notice is that your ID only shows "VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology" at the top. GitHub's verification docs mention that the complete school name should be visible on the document if requested, and they also recommend using other official documents (such as a transcript or enrollment verification) when the automated verification can't confirm your status.

If I were in your position, I'd try this before submitting another application:

• Use your institutional email (which you've already verified).
• Take a new live photo when GitHub opens the device camera—don't upload an edited image or screenshot.

If you still receive the exact same "last name" rejection after that, I wouldn't keep reapplying. Thanks for the suggestion. I tried using:

my verified institutional email (@vnrvjiet.in)
a live camera capture of my student ID
an official VNRVJIET fee receipt (dated 2026, showing my full name, roll number, and current academic year)

However, the application is still rejected with the exact same "last name" mismatch.

All official documents issued by my institution display names in the format SURNAME GIVEN_NAME (e.g., NETAPALLY MITHUNA). Is this a known limitation of the automated verification system? Is there any document format that has worked better for students from institutions that use this naming convention?

and coming to the support link you shared its not allowing me write a ticket on student application not approved
